Transforming city centres into World Championship racetracks
Presentation by Angus Miller, the Track and Overlay Manager in Formula E.
Angus is responsible for the venue design and build, he manages the temporary and permanent infrastructure required for the racing.
Angus will explain some of the challenges of designing and building racetracks within tight urban environments. Describing how a racetrack goes from a wobbly line on a map, to a live racetrack, and back to a functioning road.

Open BIM benefits in stadium development – case Real Madrid
Presentation by Luis Fernández, the Managing Director at VBE 6D Project & BIM Management
VBE 6D is developing field automation for Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The real BIM value of the project is that we can show how OpenBIM standards and reality capture workflows can be merged to achieve better project management, construction coordination, and later facility management.

Infrakit is Pointscene’s partner and reseller. Our main collaboration is our orthophoto and point cloud integration using open GIS formats like WMS.
Destia is one of Pointscene’s earliest customers and an astonishing pioneer in implementing new technologies in infra-construction. Mika Jaakkola, Development Manager at Destia, will be having a presentation on how they utilize Pointscene together with Infrakit.
Laserscanning Europe GmbH is a new partner of Pointscene starting from autumn 2022. Both companies are focused on the future solutions of as-built information, including intelligent data collection and management while demanding high standards of quality, efficiency, and ease of use. Laserscanning Europe GmbH is our partner primarily for the German-speaking clientele within the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.
Arkance Systems is Pointscene’s partner in design software like Autodesk solutions, Trimble Connect/Civil and Holixa SMS Site Management Systems. Our main collaboration is our point cloud and orthophoto integrations using open BIM standards.
